POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning all assigned areas following Big Cedar Lodge procedures and standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.
2. Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, lounges, and guest rooms.
3. Organize work schedule based on the room status list, arrivals, and departures.
4. Distribute linen, towels, and room supplies using carts or by hand; organize and restock carts at the end of shifts.
5. Restock room supplies such as glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, and replace laundry bags and slips.
6. Replace dirty linens with clean items and manage laundry in accordance with company policy.
7. Inspect and turn mattresses, check appliances, and realign furniture as per layout.
8. Respond to guest requests and housekeeping issues, deliver items, and remove room service items.
9. Maintain confidentiality and security of guest rooms, following safety and security procedures.
10. Report damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 months related experience or training preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Basic housekeeping knowledge.
• Proficiency in computer software including Word, Excel, and database management.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Good reasoning skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong organizational, clerical, and communication skills.
• Teamwork, prioritization, sense of urgency, and guest satisfaction focus.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Travel: Not applicable.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, handle objects, reach, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment: Exposure to humidity, chemicals, noise, and other conditions typical of hotel cleaning environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Work under supervision with limited independent decision-making.
