Description

Summary / Job Purpose

Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

1. Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for guests, associates, and vendors.
2. Sets up cleaning cart with supplies and maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and organized manner.
3. Cleans windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
4. Washes shower walls, tubs, toilets, and mirrors; cleans sinks and walls to ensure sanitary guest and public restrooms.
5. Replaces towels, soaps, and amenities; restocks literature as needed to ensure supply for guests.
6. Washes all hard floor areas to remove dirt and soiled areas.
7. Dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.
8. Strips beds and remakes with fresh linens.
9. Checks and cleans closets, restocking supplies as needed.
10. Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways.
11. Inspects door and window locks; reports unsafe situations.
12. Checks lights and remotes for proper functioning.
13. Maintains a friendly, courteous demeanor at all times.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of cleaning principles, products, and equipment.
• Ability to scrub, scour, and perform cleaning tasks requiring reaching, bending, and stooping.
• Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Effective communication skills with guests and staff.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
