Job summary

Hawks Cay Resort in Marathon, FL, is seeking an attentive Housekeeper to maintain pristine guest rooms and public areas. You will make beds, replace linens, and ensure bathrooms and living spaces meet hotel standards daily.

The role requires handling guest requests promptly, maintaining supplies, and communicating with supervisors to ensure high satisfaction. The position offers on-site work with potential housing options based on availability and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• One year of housekeeping experience in a commercial setting; hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and suites to hotel SOPs.
• Make beds with fresh linen and place clean linen in bathrooms daily.
• Clean guest bathrooms, bedrooms and sitting areas to a high level of cleanliness.
• Dust rooms including end tables, desks, coffee tables and dressers daily.
• Vacuum all guest rooms daily.
• Replace room amenities, literature and other items per SOP.
• Clean doors, mirrors and other surfaces in the room.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays and replace liners.
• Remove trays, dishes and glasses from rooms.
• Check closets for hangers and laundry bags; replace as needed.
• Handle guest requests as soon as possible.
• Maintain supplies, linen and materials as provided.
• Responsible for assigned keys.
• Return lost items to housekeeping at day end.
• Communicate all cleaned rooms to supervisor.
• Return to unfinished rooms to complete tasks or replace missing items.
• Maintain knowledge of cleaning supplies to avoid injuries or damage.
• Check with supervisor upon completion of room assignments.
• Assist with preventive cleaning program as assigned.
• Attend all meetings related to housekeeping.
