Job summary

BBL LENOX HOTEL GROUP LLC seeks a dependable Room Attendant to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and areas, ensuring guest satisfaction and a welcoming environment.

Main duties include cleaning rooms per procedures, stocking supplies, and completing daily reports, while upholding security standards. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with additional tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be unquestionably honest and dependable.
• Physical requirements include standing, speaking, hearing, reading, writing, able to carry between 30-40 lbs., walking, lifting and carrying, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, bending and able to walk stairs.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares guest rooms for occupancy through proper application of cleaning procedures.
• Maintains and stocks carts with required supplies to adequately clean assigned rooms.
• Completes the Room Attendant Daily Report, identifies status of each room, and reports any maintenance problems or shortages.
• Maintains security for guests and property by keeping room doors locked; reports suspicious activity; labels lost and found articles and turns them in to the hotel; observes safety regulations.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper (e.g., delivering or returning equipment, cleaning, laundry, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
• Promptly and courteously handle guest complaints when needed.
• Keeps linen room locked and linen cart neat and organized; reports lost and found articles to supervisor.
