Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Iowa City is seeking a dynamic Room Attendant to ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned to our standards and to provide a welcoming guest experience. You will stock supplies, follow safety procedures, and report maintenance issues promptly.

This part-time position offers on-site work, flexible scheduling, and benefits including health and life insurance options, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and access to daily pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned and sanitized to standards.
• Stock linen, towels, and amenities as needed.
• Follow safety and security procedures at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services, hours, and surroundings for guest queries.
• Identify and report lost and found items per policy.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that rooms and public areas are cleaned and sanitized to company-mandated standards
• Ensures that rooms have clean linen, bedding and towels
• Understands and follows all safety and security procedures as mandated by the hotel
• Maintain knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff, hotel services, hotel service hours of operation, and hotel surroundings (i.e. mall, restaurants)
• Ensures that rooms are stocked with soap, tissues, drinking glasses, etc.
• Identify items that guests have left behind and report items utilizing hotel's lost and found procedures
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED
