Job summary

Hilton Indianapolis is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain spotless guest rooms and public areas, ensuring cleanliness and presentation meet Hilton standards. You will make beds, replenish supplies, clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other spaces, and handle laundry-related tasks according to established procedures.

A HS Diploma or equivalent is required, and a background check is required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in guest rooms and replenish supplies.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators and other areas.
• Dust, polish and maintain furniture and fixtures.
• Wash walls, ceilings and windows; clean sills and door panels.
• Collect soiled linens and manage laundry supplies.
• Load washers, operate dryers and sort/deliver clean articles.
• Replace light bulbs and transport waste to disposal area.

Job description

The Room Attendant will maintain a spotless and orderly environment throughout the hotel, ensuring all spaces are cleaned to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in guest rooms. Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies and bathroom supplies in guest rooms.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Dust furniture and equipment. Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Load articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
• Lift clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
• Sort dried articles according to identification number or type. Fold and place item in appropriate storage bin.

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent

This is an hourly position of $16 an hour.
