Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service following G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints, taking corrective actions for satisfaction.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash.
• Notify supervisors upon completion of service and report any issues.
• Assist with laundry tasks, monitor supplies, operate washers/dryers, inspect linens, and report damages.
• Minimize waste of supplies and amenities.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Handle lost and found items properly.
• Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in extended stay industry is a plus.
• Fluent English skills preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Use of commercial cleaning chemicals required.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
