Room Attendant with a view of beautiful Geneva Lake

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all-service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. We aim to hire individuals who are ready and committed to exceeding guest expectations by creating lasting memories, maintaining a positive attitude, and providing outstanding service every time.

BASIC FUNCTION:

As a Room Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Your responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and common areas while delivering excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, knowledge, training, & work experience:

• Housekeeping experience is desirable but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Ability to use a mobile device displaying work functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Keep work cart and chemical caddies orderly and stocked.
• Inspect linens and return below-standard items to Housekeeping.
• Proper use of equipment, supplies, and guest amenities.
• Thorough cleaning and sanitation of guest bathrooms.
• Change and remake beds daily following property standards.
• Clean rooms, balconies, and furnishings thoroughly.
• Stay aware of safety hazards and report them.
• Follow lost and found procedures with respect for guest property.
• Practice safety standards and responsible equipment use.
• Report to work on time, maintain accurate records, and follow room issuance standards.
• Remain courteous, alert, and helpful to guests and co-workers.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Perform tasks as assigned.
• Work hours may vary and include holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.

ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces, occasional outdoor work, good ventilation, and artificial lighting.
