Job summary

DKN Hotels is seeking an entry-level Housekeeper at CBSH - Cardiff by the Sea, CA 92007. You will clean guest rooms and assist with maintaining the hotel’s high standards, including bathrooms and common areas, while ensuring comfort for guests.

Responsibilities include delivering friendly service, following safety policies, communicating with guests and team members, and supporting laundry as needed. Previous one year experience preferred; this is an on-site position with hourly pay between

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Clean guest rooms to DKN Hotels’ standards including but not limited to: making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, wiping down walls, etc.
• Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.
• Follow DKN Hotels’ policy for room amenities.
• Turn in all items left in guestroom to manager immediately.
• Maintain complete security of master room key. Return the key at the end of shift.
• Never leave the property with key.
• Report any maintenance items that need immediate attention.
• Assist with laundry as needed.
• Report any missing/found articles or damage to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Independent Judgment Used

Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within DKN Hotels’ policies and procedures.

Working Conditions/Environment

Interior of guestrooms, hallways and storage rooms. Access to entire exterior and interior of property. Use of approved cleaning agents.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Education/Experience

Previous one (1) year experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Frequently walking indoors and outdoors, climbing stairs. Repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 20 lbs. Exposure to cleaning agents.
