Location Description

Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space.



Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis. This position is responsible for providing the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service, within the established time limitations. This position is also responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and guest requests or complaints to the appropriate contact. The Room Attendant is also required to maintain an elevated level of confidentiality and security in all guest rooms.

1. Responsible for keeping the housekeeping cart in order and properly stocked with supplies ensuring it is secured, always.
2. Inspect room linens before placing them in rooms and return below standard pieces to Housekeeping.
3. Proper utilization of equipment, supplies, and guest amenities.
4. Change soiled linens and refresh beds / cribs / rollaway following the property standards.
5. Clean and sanitize rooms, balconies, bathrooms, and room furnishings according to health and safety standards, state, county, and city regulations, and property requirements.
6. Empty garbage & recycling bins, remove soil / dust / dirt from all areas of the room (top to bottom, including baseboards), remove soap build-up and all foreign objects from bathroom and room fixtures, hardware, electronics / remotes, appliances, vanity, mirrors, décor, and flooring (moping and / or vacuuming).
7. Clean closets thoroughly including door tracks. Remove dust, stains, debris from all doors, drapes, windows, ledges, frames, baseboards, and AC units. Cleaning and sanitizing may extend to cribs and rollaway beds.
8. Realign furniture to original floor plan.
9. Replace or replenish clothing hangers, desk amenities, and extra bedding.
10. Complete assignment sheet and include room status.
11. Follow all training procedures set forth in the Bloodborne Pathogens program.
12. Report safety concerns, equipment malfunction, damage, maintenance issues, and any other unsafe hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Manager, or Director of Rooms.
13. Report lost and found items by following proper procedures.
14. Maintain and exercise the greatest level of respect for guests’ property.
15. Practice safety standards, always, including fire, life, safety and emergency procedures when needed.
16. Manage extreme care of equipment loaned/issued and return all appropriate items to the Security Office at the end of each shift.
17. Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and co-workers always.



Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent.
Six (6) months’ housekeeping experience within a resort/hotel, commercial, or hospitality industry or similar, desirable.
Friendly, outgoing, and kind personality.
Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
Ability to communicate, collaborate, and interact with others positively and effectively.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Willingness to jump in and help others where needed.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be able to work the required shifts and complete work within the assigned times.
Must be able to meet attendance standards.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.



Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $16.50/Hr. - $17.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
