Room Attendant/Housekeeping

Ensures the cleanliness of the hotel's guest rooms, floors, and public areas.

Essential Functions

• Deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
• Provide excellent service to internal customers as appropriate.
• Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently; report guest complaints to the housekeeping manager promptly.
• Ensure all company minimum brand standards are implemented, and optional standards are followed where appropriate.
• Check and verify room status reports.
• Report room defects, lost, and damaged items.
• Clean and make up guest rooms.
• Empty soiled linens.
• Clean and tidy pantry and toilet areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors and surrounding back areas.
• Clean and pack the trolley; check and clean operating equipment.
• Replace light bulbs in rooms, refresh flowers, and update room status via telephone interface system.
• Attend all training sessions and meetings as required.
• Arrive on time and adhere to attendance policies.
• Exercise responsible behavior and positively represent the hotel team.
• Read and adhere to the hotel's Employee Handbook, including policies on fire safety, hygiene, health, and safety.
• Lift, carry, or move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance, following proper procedures.
• Communicate effectively with guests, associates, and managers, and respond to guest complaints appropriately.
• Wear the uniform, including nametag, at all times.
• Practice energy conservation and maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including redeployment to other departments if necessary.
• Handle equipment and supplies carefully to minimize damage and waste.
• Comply with local legislation as required.
• Promote teamwork and associate morale.
