Job description

The Marriott Renaissance Hotel is seeking a creative and skilled guest-focused Room Attendant to join their team of fun-spirited team members! Our newly renovated 250+ room hotel with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space is conveniently located for business and leisure travelers.

Our property is just a short drive from the world-famous Mall of America. Some of our features include a full-service modern American Restaurant concept, featuring creatively crafted interpretations of Food and Beverage made with a Minnesota twist. Other amenities include our indoor heated junior Olympic-sized pool, whirlpool, and 24-hour fitness center, as well as a recent complete remodel of the property with a local Minnesotan theme.

The Pay Range is $17.34.58-$17.50, based on Experience and Paid time off, wellness programs, excellent hotel discounts, and much more.

In this role, you will excel in delivering outstanding Guest Services as a vital member of our Housekeeping TEAM. You will be responsible for achieving and maintaining guest satisfaction by creating a home-away-from-home atmosphere. From the moment guests enter their room, the attendant ensures they experience a sense of relief and comfort.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide exceptional service to our guests by promptly addressing their requests with genuine engagement and thoughtfulness, ensuring their complete satisfaction.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction includes promptly returning lost items or items accidentally left behind in our hotels.
  • Prepare carts with all necessary supplies to ensure seamless and efficient cleaning of assigned guest rooms throughout the day.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to cleanliness by dusting surfaces, disposing of trash, cleaning bathrooms, and refreshing bed linens and towels in guestrooms, ensuring every detail shines perfectly.
  • Report supply levels and equipment issues promptly to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • This role has a $1,000 retention incentive: $250 on the 90th day of employment, $250 on the 6 th month of employment, and $500 on your first anniversary.

Physical Demands :

  • Lift, carry loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Push and pull wheeled carts weighing up to 50 - 100lbs.
  • Extend arms overhead, scrub, bend, and stoop for extended periods and work in confined spaces.
  • Meet deadlines, including thoroughly cleaning a minimum of 13 rooms per day.
