Job Description Summary
The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
- Respond to guest requests and complaints, ensuring satisfaction.
- Clean and service rooms following established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Report completed service and any rooms that cannot be serviced.
- If assigned to laundry, monitor supplies, operate washers/dryers, inspect linens, and report damages.
- Minimize waste of supplies and assist with deep cleaning projects.
- Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
- Handle lost and found items properly.
- Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
- Experience in extended stay industry beneficial.
- Fluent English preferred; other languages beneficial.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
