Job summary

Comcast in Laurel, Mississippi is hiring a Solar Panel Installation Helper to support the Solar Panel Installation team. You will work at heights, use hand tools, and help ensure safety and quality on installations.

Requires some construction experience, comfort with hand tools, and an active driver’s license. The role may involve overtime and weekend work, with base pay around $20.00 per hour and opportunities to learn on the job.

Qualifications

• Must have some construction experience, be good with hand tools, & have an active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assisting electricians and installers during solar installations.
• Carrying out tasks such as bending conduit, stripping and terminating wire, and maintaining an organized job site.
• Assisting in the installation of solar panel systems, including mounting panels and racking, and wiring.
• Using hand and power tools to install racking.
• Servicing the solar system as needed.
• Laying out and installing conduit, disconnecting switches and junction boxes correctly.
• Performing jobs from high places (i.e. on roofs) including climbing ladders with proper equipment and materials.
• Adhering to all quality and safety codes.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
