Position Summary
The Bartender understands and follows alcohol serving laws. They prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages while interacting with customers, taking and serving food as necessary. The Bartender maintains a clean and sanitized environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Follows recipes to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnish.
2. Serves members and customers in a timely manner, including checking identification, accepting payment, and answering questions.
3. Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surfaces, furniture, and equipment, and returning used dishware to the bar/kitchen.
4. Re-stocks liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients, and replaces beer barrels.
5. Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of each shift.

Position Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. 1 to 2 years of bartending experience.
3. Certified to serve alcohol.
4. CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
5. Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
6. Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with inventory and ordering.
