Job summary

Centexconstruction in Seattle, WA is seeking a Roofing Technician to install, repair, and maintain roofing systems for multi-family and commercial properties. You will work with a team to ensure safety, quality craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction in varying weather and heights.

This full-time, on-site role reports to the Roofing Service Manager. Requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years roofing experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of roofing or construction experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace roofing systems including shingles, metal, tile, and flat roofing materials.
• Inspect roofing systems to identify damage, leaks, or deterioration and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including use of PPE and fall protection systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition.
• Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installation.
• Assist with estimating material requirements and tracking project timelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers regarding project progress.
• Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards on every job.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The position requires managing stressful situations, occasional long or weekend hours, frequent travel by car, and regular use of a personal cell phone.
