Job summary

Great Lakes Roofing Corporation is seeking a skilled Roof Repair Technician to diagnose roofing issues, perform high-quality repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work on asphalt shingles, metal, EPDM, and other systems at heights, using a range of tools and safety equipment.

Responsibilities include inspecting roofs, making repairs, documenting findings, and communicating clearly with customers. A strong problem-solving mindset and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of roofing repair or installation experience.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of common roofing systems (asphalt, metal, flat roofs).
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with roof leak detection (preferred).
• Basic carpentry or construction background.
• Knowledge of local building codes.

• Perform roof repairs, including shingle replacement, flashing repair, patching, sealing, and structural fixes.
• Diagnose ventilation issues, moisture problems, and other related roof system concerns.
• Safely operate tools such as nail guns, roofing knives, ladders, and harness systems.
• Document repair findings with photos and written notes.
• Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Assist with emergency/urgent repair calls as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently.

Summary

The ideal candidate has strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and prior roofing experience.
