Job summary

Crown Roofing & Waterproofing is seeking a Roofing Site Surveyor in Fort Myers to support commercial and residential divisions. Your role gathers field measurements, documents roof conditions, and compiles data for repair, maintenance, and replacement proposals.

The ideal candidate travels to job sites, works independently, and uses mobile tech and cloud software to organize data and support estimating, operations, and project management teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college or technical education preferred.
• Experience in roofing, construction, surveying, estimating, inspection, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct roof site assessments for commercial and residential properties.
• Measure roof dimensions, slopes, penetrations, and other components.
• Take detailed photos of roof conditions and site-specific factors.
• Perform roof core samples when required.
• Document obstructions, safety concerns, and project information.
• Prepare accurate field notes and ensure data completeness.
• Verify measurements and observations before leaving job sites.
• Upload photos, measurements, reports to company software.
• Coordinate with estimating, operations, sales, and project management teams.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Roofing Site Surveyor to support our Commercial and Residential Roofing Divisions. This position plays a critical role in the estimating and project planning process by gathering accurate field measurements, documenting existing roof conditions, and collecting the information needed to prepare repair, maintenance, and replacement proposals.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, traveling to job sites, and utilizing technology to collect and organize data.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct roof site assessments at commercial and residential properties.
• Measure roof dimensions, slopes, penetrations, and other roof components.
• Take detailed photographs of roof conditions, damage, and site-specific conditions.
• Perform roof core samples when required to identify existing roof systems.
• Document roof obstructions, safety concerns, and other relevant project information.
• Prepare accurate field notes and ensure all collected data is complete.
• Verify measurements and observations before leaving each job site.
• Upload photos, measurements, reports, and related documentation into company software systems.
• Coordinate with estimating, operations, sales, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain professional interactions with customers, property managers, and other stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk uneven terrain and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as necessary to perform roof inspections.
