Experience Requirement:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial Sheet Metal Roofing.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Setting up project sites, including equipment and daily production projections.
2. Identifying and correcting safety issues, ensuring crew compliance with GSM standards and OSHA requirements.
3. Collaborating with Project Managers/Superintendents to set and meet daily goals.
4. Coordinating project activities with GCs/Clients, adhering to the 'Sun Down Rule'.
5. Participating in subcontractor and POA meetings with clients or GSM managers.
6. Protecting materials, equipment, and contents during projects.
7. Understanding roof assemblies and metal installation products.
8. Overseeing metal and accessory installations into roofing systems.
9. Teaching procedures, roofing techniques, and safety during toolbox talks.
10. Maintaining roof appearance and cleanliness during and after projects.
11. Implementing manufacturer’s installation requirements for inspections.
12. Proficient use of all related equipment and tools.
13. Identifying and correcting safety hazards, consulting with management as needed.
14. Effective communication with Project Managers/Superintendents both orally and in writing.
15. Completing job reports, including 2-week lookaheads and daily summaries.
16. Receiving and learning from constructive feedback.
17. Physically capable of lifting 80 lbs., working at heights, and maneuvering heavy equipment.
18. Committed to ongoing learning and leadership development through company training.
19. Maintaining a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
20. Following all safety policies, OSHA, SMACNA, manufacturer, and inspector guidelines.
21. Participating in safety programs and holding team members accountable.
22. Reading blueprints and troubleshooting diagrams.
23. Applying basic math and problem-solving skills.
24. Upholding cleanliness, appearance, and GSM clothing standards.
25. Punctuality and attendance are required, with proper documentation for absences.
26. Attending mandatory safety and company meetings.
27. Embodying GSM Services' core values and promoting a positive work environment.
28. Ability to read and write at a high school level.
29. Carrying required hand tools such as knives, tin snips, and tape measures.
30. Holding certifications such as forklift operation and aerial work platform (AWP).
31. Ability to work in hot, strenuous, and dirty conditions.
32. Leading and training a crew of 5-10 members.
33. Participating in performance reviews and reporting.
34. Using electronic devices for communication and documentation.
35. Being responsible for personal and team performance improvements, tools, and PPE use.

Wear proper uniforms and maintain personal appearance according to GSM standards.

Maintain attendance as per policy and ensure accurate time records.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain tools and equipment.

Work daily towards the Sundown Rule.

Read and write in English at a high school level.

Additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to weather, including extreme heat and cold.
• Work environment includes construction sites, rooftops, and ladders.
• Ability to set up, climb, and dismantle ladders.
