Job summary

Roof Rite in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Commercial Roofing Service/Repair Technician to join our local team for in-person repairs and maintenance on commercial roofs. You will respond to service calls, inspect systems, identify damage and craft detailed repair plans while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of commercial flat roofing experience.
• Knowledge of application and repair methods for commercial roofing systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and repair commercial roof leaks.
• Inspect roofing systems, identify damage, leaks, drainage issues and repair needs.
• Perform roof maintenance, waterproofing and detailed repair work.
• Remove and replace roofing materials as needed and ensure safety.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and drained water removal.
• Determine appropriate materials and repair methods for each job.
• Operate safely from ladders, scaffolding, or platforms; travel to sites as required.
• Communicate clearly with customers, team members and the Operations Manager.

What you’ll do:

• Respond to service calls and repair commercial roof leaks
• Inspect existing roofing systems and identify damage, leaks, drainage issues, and repair needs
• Perform roof maintenance, waterproofing, and detailed repair work
• Remove and replace roofing materials such as gravel, felts, insulation, drain grates, flashings, and related components as needed
• Assist with preventive maintenance, including clogged or frozen drains, snow removal, and standing water removal
• Determine appropriate materials and repair methods for each job
• Operate safely from ladders, scaffolding, rigging, or platforms when required
• Drive a company truck or vehicle with materials to job sites, as assigned
• Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and the Operations Manager
• Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and company procedures

What we’re looking for:

• At least 2 years of commercial flat roofing experience
• Knowledge of proper application and repair methods for commercial roofing systems
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to different work sites; willingness to travel up to 50%
• Must have necessary hand tools
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently when needed
