Above Roofing is seeking a Repair Technician in Grand Rapids, MI with 3+ years of pitched shingle roofing experience to lead a crew on local projects. The role requires on-site leadership and strong critical thinking to guide decisions on the job.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or perform emergency repairs, including evenings and weekends.
• Take before, during and after photos and upload to CompanyCam.
• Update the CRM to close out each repair project.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck with tools in place.
• Maintain a clean warehouse when storing materials and tools.
• Make trips to the hardware store for materials.
• Follow the schedule set by the Repair Supervisor and communicate questions.
• Attend weekly Repair Tech meetings to discuss work orders and contracts.
• Perform roof repairs such as flashing, valleys, and shingles as needed.

• A minimum of 3 years of roofing experience is needed for this position.
• Assist in other roof work such as insulation, venting, gutter & gutter guard.
• Be available to coordinate or perform emergency repairs – some on call, which may involve evening & weekend work
• Work efficiently & effectively with minimal supervision
• Take before, during & after pictures of work & upload them to CompanyCam
• Update our CRM to close out each repair project.
• Maintain a clean & organized truck with tools in their place, maintained & oiled.
• Maintain a clean & organized warehouse when putting materials & tools away
• Make trips to the hardware store for materials not available in the warehouse or on the truck
• Follow the schedule set by the Repair Supervisor and communicate any questions, problems, etc. with them
• Attend weekly Repair Tech meetings to discuss scheduling, work orders, contract fulfillment, etc.
• Performing repairs often involves re-flashing chimneys, step flashing dormers, re-flashing skylights, repairing valleys, patching sections with missing shingles, etc.
