Job summary

TalentSphere is seeking an experienced Estimator & Project Manager for a growing commercial roofing team in Doral/South Florida. You will manage projects from estimating through closeout, coordinating with leadership, field crews and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge of commercial roofing systems, take-off experience and strong budgeting and client-management skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial roofing or construction project management.
• Experience with estimating, bidding, and material take-offs.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Understanding of job costing, billing, change orders and project profitability.
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and bidding for projects from bid invitations, drawings, specs and addenda.
• Review bid invitations, drawings, specs, and addendums.
• Perform accurate material and labor take-offs.
• Identify roofing systems, accessories, labor requirements and production considerations.
• Prepare project scopes, clarifications, material lists, proposals, and bid packages.
• Obtain and compare subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Coordinate material pricing and lead times.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits and project walkthroughs.
• Work with leadership to finalize project pricing.
• Manage assigned roofing projects from kickoff through completion and closeout.
• Develop project schedules, manpower plans and sequencing.
• Coordinate with field supervisors and crews to maintain timelines and quality.
• Ensure projects comply with contract docs, manufacturer requirements and safety standards.
• Lead meetings with clients, consultants, inspectors and internal teams.
• Identify potential project risks and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor budgets, job costs and profitability.
• Prepare and submit monthly pay applications with required documentation.
• Review vendor invoices and verify against PO and deliveries.
• Prepare, price, document and submit change orders.
• Provide percent-complete updates and financial reporting to Accounting.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Administration for accurate documentation and billing.

Salary: $78,000 Base + Commission (Average earnings from $150k-$200k)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Estimator & Project Manager to join a growing commercial roofing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from the initial bidding and estimating stage through final completion and closeout.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, estimating and take-off experience, and the ability to manage project budgets, schedules, field operations, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating & Bidding

• Coordinate closely with Accounting and Administration to ensure accurate project documentation and billing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial roofing or construction project management


• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, including Modified Bitumen, TPO, PVC, SBS, and sheet metal


• Experience with estimating, bidding, and material take-offs


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents


• Understanding of job costing, billing, change orders, and project profitability


• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills


• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously


• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, PDF markup tools, and estimating software


• Experience with commercial or public-sector projects preferred


• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred


• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
