Job summary

Advanced Roofing, Inc is seeking Full Time Laborers and Helpers in Tampa, FL. The role involves roofing duties, tear-offs, material handling, and on-site support in challenging weather.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, with a valid driver’s license, willing to submit to pre-employment drug tests, and able to lift up to 100 lbs. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a growing, employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Experience with welding and use of cutting torches.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform roofing duties associated with roof tear offs: scraping with force, shovelling heavy material, transporting material.
• Remove clutter on roof while maintaining a clean and neat work environment.
• Transport hot tar from kettle to work area.
• Clean and maintain roofing equipment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned

• Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
• Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
• Ability to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions and high temperatures
• Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively throughout the day
• Able to pass a government background check per project requirements
• Knowledge of basic roofing tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
