Job summary

FW Walton INC is seeking a Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead on-site roofing crews on commercial projects in Texas. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial roofing experience with supervisory exposure, reads blueprints, and upholds manufacturer and company standards. OSHA 10 is required; OSHA 30 is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead roofing crews on commercial roofing projects.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily jobsite activities to ensure project schedules are met.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members based on project needs and employee skill levels.
  • Install and oversee installation of commercial roofing systems including PVC, TPO, EPDM, BUR, Modified Bitumen, and other roofing systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to manufacturer requirements, company standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses.
  • Enforce company safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel on site.
  • Monitor work quality and perform inspections to ensure projects meet company and customer expectations.
  • Train, mentor, and develop roofers, laborers, and helpers.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials are properly stored and protected.
  • Maintain daily production reports, safety documentation, timekeeping records, and project logs.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Resolve jobsite issues and proactively identify potential project delays or concerns.
  • Manage project punch lists and ensure completion of all corrective actions.
  • Perform roof inspections, deck evaluations, and troubleshoot installation issues.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, care, and accountability of company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Monitor labor productivity and assist in controlling project costs.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite at all times.

JOB SUMMARY

The Commercial Roofing Foreman is responsible for overseeing and directing roofing crews on commercial roofing projects. The Foreman ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to company standards, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements. This position serves as the primary onsite leader, coordinating labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and daily project activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements.
  • Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, and project schedules.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.
  • Ability to identify and solve jobsite problems independently.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
