Job summary

Role Description

The Roofing Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Coos Bay, OR, responsible for leading roofing crews on commercial and residential projects. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and assigning work, overseeing installation and repairs of steep-pitch and low-slope roofing systems, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and building codes. The role involves reading plans, coordinating materials and equipment, monitoring job progress and quality, and communicating with project managers, inspectors, and clients as needed. The Roofing Foreman will also train crew members, troubleshoot issues on the job site, and maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and project status.

• Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and on-site safety oversight.
• Candidates should possess experience operating or coordinating heavy equipment commonly used in roofing and construction environments.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and clients.
• Candidates should possess practical carpentry abilities related to roofing structures, decking, and trim work.
• Candidates should possess maintenance skills for inspecting, repairing, and extending the life of roofing systems.
• Proficiency in installing roofing systems.
• Ability to work at heights, lift materials, and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and local building codes; safety certifications are an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Coos Bay, OR.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in construction or roofing is beneficial.
