Job summary

Northwest College of Construction (NWCOC) is seeking an experienced roofing professional to share trade knowledge and train the next generation of roofers. No teaching experience required, but the role involves mentoring apprentices and leading classes during selected weeks.

Schedule runs 6:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with teaching terms from November through April. Instructors must complete paid Certification Training and pass a background check to join NWCOC’s nonprofit construction

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable journey-level roofing experience.
• Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems.
• Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and roofing safety practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Patience and an interest in mentoring apprentices.

Responsibilities
