Job summary

Cache Roofing and Waterproofing is seeking a Waterproofer/Roofer to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on installation and maintenance of waterproofing systems, with preferred experience using Pli-Dek, Con-Dek, and Miracote.

Applicants should be comfortable at heights, capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, and able to work in varying weather conditions. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of roofing and/or waterproofing experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with waterproofing systems is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of waterproofing systems, materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain waterproofing systems on roofs, decks, foundations, and other structures.
• Prepare and inspect surfaces before waterproofing application.
• Identify leaks, wear, damage, or hazards and recommend repairs.
• Install and maintain roofing systems (tile, metal, shingle) as needed.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow safety standards and OSHA protocols.
• Communicate with foremen, team members, and clients as required.

Job Description

Cache Roofing and Waterproofing is seeking a Waterproofer/Roofer to join our team. The primary focus of this position will be the installation and maintenance of waterproofing systems.

Experience working with Pli-Dek, Con-Dek and Miracote is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a good understanding of waterproofing applications, preparation, installation procedures, and repair techniques. Training will be provided as needed for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain waterproofing systems, including Pli-Dek, Con-Dek, and Miracote;
• Apply waterproofing systems to roofs, decks, foundations, and other structures;
• Prepare and inspect surfaces before waterproofing application;
• Identify leaks, wear, damage, or potential hazards and recommend appropriate repairs;
• Install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems, including tile, metal, and shingle;
• Use hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, torches, and other roofing and waterproofing equipment safely and effectively;
• Operate ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment according to safety standards;
• Remove old roofing and waterproofing materials as necessary before installation;
• Ensure proper sealing and flashing around vents, skylights, chimneys, and other roof penetrations;
• Follow specifications and work orders to execute jobs accurately;
• Communicate effectively with foremen, team members, and clients when necessary;
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times;
• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.

• Knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques;
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions;
• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs) and perform physical labor for extended periods;
• Basic understanding of construction safety practices and equipment use;
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred;
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and in a team.
• Basic conversational English required — must be able to understand safety instructions and job-site communication;
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and E-Verify eligibility check.
