Job summary

Ulrich of TX is seeking a roofer to read build orders and install shingles or metal roofing on our custom-made sheds, garages, barns, and playhouses. The roofer will also perform on-site repairs as needed, ensuring structures meet build order specifications and are constructed error-free.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in varying weather, and occasional overtime, with a fast-paced team environment and opportunities to learn other areas of the build process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred but not required.
• 1 year of experience in installing shingle and metal roofing.
• Experience operating air compressors, air tools, hammer, saw, drill, and other basic power and air tools.
• Painting/caulking experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read build orders and install shingles or metal sheets for roofs needed for building structures while meeting daily work performance goals.
• Ability to carry out instructions communicated in writing, orally, or in diagram form.
• Repair roofs or replace tiles or metal sheets or any other fabricating associated with the construction of the roof.
• Cut and shape materials, joining them with nails, screws, bolts or glue.
• Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and meets build order specifications.
• Must be willing to learn and work in other areas of the build process.
