Job summary

Together Housing Group is seeking a Roofer to join our team across Calderdale. The role offers a starting salary of £33,758 per annum with personal use of the company van and a pension via LGPS. You will work 37 hours per week, typically Monday to Saturday, with shifts guided by business needs.

This role requires a full UK driving licence and a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service. Responsibilities include performing roofing repairs on tenanted and vacant properties, measuring

Qualifications

• A full UK manual driving licence.
• Proven experience across roofing and building repairs and maintenance.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service and achieving high satisfaction.
• Ability to maximise efficiency by completing repairs in a single visit where possible.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to building work.
• Basic IT and mobile tech skills for managing work orders and communication; literacy and numeracy for tickets.
• Ability to multi-skill in related trades such as plastering.
• Ideally, City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Roofing or NVQ Level 2+.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Roofing repairs to tenanted and vacant properties with high quality and compliance.
• Aim for a Right First Time approach; complete repairs in one visit where possible.
• Measure and quantify materials; ensure procurement is accurate and cost-effective.
• Deliver excellent customer care; protect tenants' homes; tidy up after work.
• Carry out risk assessments before starting work for safety and welfare.
• Diagnose problems and repair efficiently with rational use of time/materials.
• Manage company vehicles, tools and materials; report defects per policy.
