Job summary

R&D Construction and Roofing is seeking a skilled supervisor to lead field crews on commercial roofing projects in Florida. You will manage planning, scheduling, and daily site activities to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Ideal candidates will be bilingual (English/Spanish), with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and a track record of delivering results in roofing installations and related trades.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising field crews and coordinating with Project Manager.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills for planning and scheduling.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish for field communication.
• Proficiency with technology-enabled project tracking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and work alongside field crews, providing guidance as needed.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and coordinate projects with the Project Manager.
• Use technology to update schedules, provide daily logs to clients, and process material POs.
• Notify trade partners of schedule forecasts and update progress regularly.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following OSHA requirements.
• Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
• Hire subcontractors and staff, allocate responsibilities.
• Review job tracking and address deficiencies, create material lists.
• Schedule inspections as needed.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met
• Hire subcontractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Review job tracking on a regular basis and analyze any deficiencies
• Create list of project materials to be ordered
• Schedule inspections, as needed

Requirements:

ABILITIES YOU MUST BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Expert-level, hands-on experience with modified bitumen and single-ply systems
• Proficient in technology-based applications
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize time and project needs
• Ability to interface well with work crews
• Ability to adapt to change in order to meet project goals/deadlines
