Job summary

greatlakesroofing is seeking a Roof Repair Technician to diagnose issues, perform quality repairs, and ensure customer satisfaction on residential and commercial roofs. This role requires working at heights, using a variety of tools, and knowledge of asphalt shingles, metal, EPDM, and TPO systems.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of roofing experience, the ability to lift 50–75 lbs, a valid driver's license, and a safety-minded approach.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in roofing repair or installation.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with common roofing systems (asphalt, metal, flat roofs).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roofs to identify leaks, storm damage, and structural issues.
• Perform repairs including shingle replacement, flashing repair, patching, sealing.
• Diagnose ventilation and moisture problems affecting roof systems.
• Safely operate nails guns, ladders, harness systems.
• Document repair findings with photos and notes.
• Communicate repair needs and solutions to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies.
• Assist with emergency/urgent repair calls.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects efficiently.
