The Roof Crew Member assists in constructing roof frames using hand tools and other equipment. They ensure roofs are built to specifications, install insulation systems, and vapor barriers while working in a controlled environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The performance of this position requires occasional exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of safety glasses is required, and the use of hearing protection may be required. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects up to 80 pounds, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs physical labor in a climate-controlled environment. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints, or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evening work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel is primarily not expected in this role.
