Job Title: Roof Crew Member

Reports to: Production Manager

Location: Detroit Lakes, MN

Starting Wage: $19.05/Hr

The Roof Crew Member assists in constructing roof frames using hand tools and other equipment. They ensure roofs are built to specifications, install insulation systems, and vapor barriers while working in a controlled environment.

Essential Functions

• Frame roofs on an assembly table from sheetrock to sheeting
• Build dormers
• Construct and attach prebuilt roofs to walls
• Inspect and assemble materials and articles to specified standards
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Work in a safe manner and follow all safety policies including wearing correct PPE such as fall protection
• May be cross-trained into other departments to ensure job knowledge progression and a balanced workforce

Physical Demands

The position lifts heavy objects up to 80 pounds, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs physical labor in a climate-controlled environment. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints, or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evening work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is primarily not expected in this role.

Experience

Education
