Job Title

Assistant Manager

Reports To

District Manager & Store Manager

Compensation

$17.00 per hour + bonus & incentives

Schedule

Full Time + Benefits (Up to 40 hrs/wk)

Job Purpose

Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, provide leadership and support to sales staff, promote a culture of pride, and ensure high-quality customer visits. Responsibilities include customer service, maintaining property standards, and completing assigned tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include 3 years retail customer service experience, computer literacy, ability to be bonded, reliable transportation, and licensing where applicable. Preferred qualifications include 4 years retail customer service and 2 years retail management experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests
• Merchandise displays
• Maintain property appearance
• Upsell and enhance guest experience
• Proactively patrol property for safety and inventory concerns
• Participate in inventories and cycle counts
• Maintain flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Lead, train, and hold sales staff accountable
• Assist with hiring and staffing
• Coordinate payroll and prepare sales reports
• Follow company policies and communicate effectively

Performance Metrics

Performance measured by shift goal achievement, sales per invoice, transaction averages, store overtime, inventory adjustments, and attendance.

Physical Requirements

Requires bending, stooping, reaching, standing, lifting (50 lbs+), walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive tasks, with up to 100% standing during shifts.

Supervisory Functions

Moderate supervisory duties including directing sales and janitorial staff, and involvement in hiring, training, and discipline as needed.
