Job summary

Dem-Con Metals truck driver position is responsible for driving Roll Off trucks, tractor-trailers, lugger truck and or dock truck for collection services to ensure our customers’ expectations are met in transporting or disposing various metals to the appropriate location.

Outdoor work with heavy trucks, strict adherence to DOT regulations and OSHA safety programs, plus clear communication with dispatch and management are essential.

• Operates heavy duty commercial trucks and tractor-trailers.
• Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports.

• Adheres to OSHA and company safety programs.
• Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles; maintains records/logs per DOT regulations.
• Fuels truck at end of day.
• Aids in keeping customer locations/facilities clean by picking up litter around site.
• Communicate effectively with management, dispatch and all division employees.
