Position Summary
The Operator ensures accurate preparation, inspection, and handling of materials throughout the production process. The Operator obtains test samples, inspects surface and dimensions, and assists with maintenance activities.
Main Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Identifying and procure testing samples based on continuously changing production and testing requirements.
- Operate remotely operated overhead crane (once trained.)
- Perform visual surface quality inspections and dimensional accuracy checks while walking on or below plate.
- Identify defects and clearly communicate to supervisor.
- Participate in maintenance activities during breakdowns and outages.
- Ensure readiness and efficiency of tool changes for wear components.
- Complete required training within designated timeframes and attend all required meetings.
- Understand and support the company’s goals and values and adhere to company, department, safety, quality, environmental, and ethics policies and procedures.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (some college or trade school preferred)

- Push, pull, lift, and/or carry items weighing 50 pounds or less approx. 150 ft.

Position Type, Expected Work Hours, Travel Requirements
- Position is full time, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime
- Position works (12) hours a day, rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Very limited travel
