Job summary

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings, measure parts, and ensure quality. This role requires lifting up to 75 lbs and strict adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and apply specifications.
• Skilled with measuring tools like calipers, square, protractor.
• Strong math skills including fractional/decimal conversions.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials into machines.
• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications by reading blueprints and drawings.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so machines perform correct functions.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with company guidelines.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare with requirements.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed or assigned.

PTMW, Inc is seeking a competent CNC Machine (Rollform) Operator to join our pre-fabrication (PFAB) team. The Rollform Operator will be responsible for using computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products. Set up machinery according to specifications provided by blueprints, drawings, or job layouts.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Load raw materials into machines.
• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned.
