Job Summary

Operate vehicles specific to project work (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) following safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate steel-wheeled, rubber-tired, vibrator, segmented, or other rollers to compact earth, subgrade, sub-base, and asphalt surfaces.
• Distribute, break down, and finish cooling asphalt surfaces.
• Drive the machine in overlapping passes to achieve desired compaction and smoothness.
• Adjust speed and direction based on material compressibility and temperature.
• Use hand rollers or guide portable power rollers for areas inaccessible to larger rollers.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Commitment to safety and working safely.
• Overtime as needed.
