Roller Operator - Farmers Branch - Austin Bridge & Road

Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Roller Operator in Farmers Branch, TX. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals who want to excel with us.

The roller operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment for earthwork projects. Operates a self-propelled machine with either steel wheels or pneumatic tires used to compact earth fills, subgrade, flexible base, and other materials except bituminous. May oil, grease, or service the equipment and make necessary adjustments as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Operate equipment safely and in a controlled manner
• Grade to specified elevations and tolerances
• Become proficient before advancing to operating another machine
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Work hours may vary to meet project needs, including days, nights, and weekends
• Work in adverse weather conditions, including hot or cold temperatures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position
