Job summary

Allan Myers, Inc is seeking a driver to transport construction materials to customer and job-site locations. The role includes daily vehicle inspections, safe driving, and timely communication of site conditions.

A Class A or B CDL is required depending on equipment, with a DOT physical and a clean driving record. We offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus through 9/30/26, a competitive hourly range, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL required for Low bed, low boy configurations; Class B CDL for Tilt/flat bed.
• Must pass DOT physical requirements.
• Prior driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-trip inspections on assigned vehicle.
• Drive to destinations following traffic laws and road knowledge.
• Maintain truck log in accordance with regulations and policy.
• Report any traffic, site, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and safety guidelines are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities

$2,500 Sign On Bonus Incentive through 9/30/26!

This position is dispatched to transport construction materials to customer or job site locations. May be assigned to move construction materials at different job sites. Conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.

• Makes daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or work parts or for any signs of tampering. Must report all problems found to the shop immediately.
• Drives to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area.
• Maintains a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Communicates any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly. Also, gets information on the location of the job site and the locations of any light bridges or roads on the way to the site.
• Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Hourly Range

• $27.00 - $35.00, based on experience.

• Must be physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.

• Interact professionally with the public and others in the company while making deliveries.
• Ability to show composure and constraint while driving safely. Poor driving would result in a negative perception by the public towards the company.
• Adaptable and Flexible

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged sitting followed by hooking up, loading, and unloading equipment. Requires extensive and heavy physical activity and dexterity. Must be able to drive for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
