Job summary

Mohawk Industries Inc. is seeking an entry-level forklift operator for our Georgia warehouse. You will operate equipment, perform safety checks, and assist with restocking tasks while adhering to supervision guidance.

The role requires lifting up to 80 pounds and on-the-job safety training. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, with opportunities for training and cross-training within Mohawk’s distribution network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in basic math (addition/subtraction).
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.
• Successful completion of health and environmental safety training.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds frequently during shift.
• Prior warehouse or general labor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely as outlined in JSA.
• Perform pre-operational safety checks and vehicle inspection before operating equipment.
• Wrap cuts using proper-width wrap.
• Place labels properly on cuts & tickets on restock.
• Bag “Short Cuts / Totems.”
• Follow duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Manually load/unload pad or other material not designed for forks or pole.
• Be receptive to training related to lift truck operator position or cross-training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Any other tasks assigned by management.
