Job summary

Specialty Sign Company in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Roll-to-Roll Large-Format Print Technician to operate large-format printers, manage media, and ensure color accuracy from file to finished product.

You will work with ONYX RIP, Canon Colorado printers, and SEAL laminators, perform test strips, monitor output, coordinate with prepress and finishing teams, and document maintenance. The role requires hands-on production experience and strong organization in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in large-format digital print production, especially roll-to-roll.
• Familiarity with ONYX RIP for job prep, layout, and color management.
• Knowledge of pressure-sensitive vinyl, graphics, and laminated products.
• Ability to troubleshoot large-format equipment and maintain throughput.

Responsibilities

• Open production queue, confirm specs, set media profiles and print settings.
• Load roll media on large-format printers and run test strips.
• Verify color and registration; monitor output quality during shift.
• Laminate using SEAL laminator and perform finishing tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with prepress, finishing, and production teammates to maintain throughput.

Roll-to-Roll Large-Format Print TechnicianPicture a day where your craftsmanship turns big ideas into bigger visuals. When you arrive at 1900 E. Queen Creek Road, Chandler, AZ 85286, you’ll power up the RIP, load the right media, and guide every job from file to flawless finish. You keep production flowing in a fast-paced shop and take pride in the details that set great prints apart.What a Typical Day Looks LikeOpen your production queue in ONYX (or a comparable RIP), confirm specs, choose the correct media profiles, and set efficient nesting and print settings.Load roll media—vinyl, adhesive films, banner, paper, and more—on large-format roll-to-roll printers (Canon Colorado experience is a plus).Run test strips, verify color and registration, and monitor output quality throughout the shift.Laminate using a SEAL roll laminator (or similar) to ensure consistent finishing quality.Perform routine cleanings and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment operating at peak performance.Read and execute work orders precisely, meeting quantities, specifications, and timelines.Coordinate with prepress, finishing, installation, and production teammates to maintain steady throughput.Jump in on trimming, laminating, mounting, and related finishing tasks as needed.Wrap up by organizing your area and documenting maintenance and production notes.What You’ll BringHands-on experience in large-format digital print production, especially roll-to-roll.Comfort with ONYX RIP (or similar) for job prep, layout, and color management.Familiarity with Canon Colorado printers and SEAL laminators is strongly preferred.Knowledge of pressure-sensitive vinyl, adhesive graphics, wall/floor graphics, and laminated products.Skill with color management, media profiling, and troubleshooting large-format equipment.Mechanical aptitude, strong organization, and ownership of print quality and throughput.Clear communication and the ability to balance accuracy, efficiency, and deadlines.Physical RequirementsStand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Lift, carry, and move 50–75 lbs. materials with or without assistance.Bend, reach, kneel, and work with tools and equipment throughout the shift.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay: $24–$36 per hour401(k) with company matchMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsurancePaid Time Off and HolidaysOpportunities for growth and skill developmentWeekly pay cycleWhere You’ll WorkOn-site at our Chandler production facility: 1900 E.
