Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Elk Grove Village is seeking a Roll Tender/Feeder to support web offset and gravure presses. You will load rolls, inspect for defects, thread paper through the press, and assist with make-ready tasks. This role requires steady endurance and the ability to handle heavy rolls with care.

Shifts run 7p–7a on a rotating schedule with a $3 shift differential. The pay range is disclosed, and RR Donnelley offers comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Reads and follows job specifications to determine materials needed.
• Ability to adjust the auto splicer.
• Loads paper and prepares for continuous operation of the press.
• Knowledge of materials and requirements for the press.
• Continuous standing and manual handling required.

Responsibilities

• Load rolls onto an automatic splicing unit.
• Inspect rolls for blemishes and cut damaged sections.
• Prepare and thread paper through press components for printing.
• Apply adhesive to backup roll and load onto splicing unit.
• May operate a mechanical truck to transport rolls.
• Assist with make-ready tasks and press maintenance.
• Load flat stock into a sheet-fed press.
