Job summary

Gerdau in the United States seeks a Mechanical Process Engineer for the roll shop to lead training and development in improvement methodologies. You will oversee CAPEX projects and analyze data for manufacturing processes and equipment use.

You will contribute to action plans, improve standards, and coach employees in Six Sigma and Lean practices while collaborating with routine managers on process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years in steel/manufacturing environments.
• Experience in standardization and production quality methods.
• Ability to train, motivate, and coach employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze department data bases; perform trend analysis.
• Facilitate training sessions on improvement methodologies and processes.
• Develop and coach capabilities in continuous improvement practices.
• Collaborate on CAPEX standards, audits, and 6 Sigma/lean initiatives.
• Identify and solve chronic problems; reduce process variation.
• Support CAPEX projects and Annual Action Plan improvements.
