Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a CDL driver to safely operate a vehicle to pick up and dump trash, supporting GCNA and affiliated entities from Phoenix, AZ. You will follow safety policies, complete daily checks, and maintain attendance while upholding Goodwill core values.

The role requires a valid AZ CDL (Class A/B), DOT certification, clean MVR with no DUIs, and 2+ years of CDL experience. English proficiency and ability to pass background/drug screens are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Minimum 2 years CDL vehicle operation experience.
• Able to be trained and take direction.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.
• Valid AZ Class A or B CDL, DOT Certification, clean MVR with no DUIs.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle to pick up and dump trash.

• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Ensure daily work requirements meet quality.
• Process paperwork and review reporting.
• May work overtime as needed.

Position Description

Responsible for safely operating a vehicle to pick up and dump trash from cans and open tops for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operates a vehicle to pick up and dump trash from cans, open tops and other materials, as directed.
• Follows all established policies, procedures and local, county, state and federal laws.
• Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Ensures daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance.
• Processes and submits paperwork as directed and reviews reporting.
• May be required to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.
• Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
• Immediately takes-action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
• Unloads vehicles and moves items as required.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience operating CDL vehicle
• Ability to be trained and take direction
• Ability to speak, write, and read English proficiently
• Must have and maintain a valid Class A or Class B Arizona Commercial Drivers' License (CDL), DOT Certification, clean MVR with no DUIs and no reckless operation, as well as a Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
