Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking a Roll-Off Driver to haul waste from sewer treatment plants to landfills. This hands-on role requires backing skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work in tight spaces and through high-traffic areas.

You will interact with dispatch, customers, and shop staff daily and be on-call for weekends/overtime as needed. The company offers full benefits and emphasizes local routes with home nightly, making safety and reliability top priorities.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with current medical card.
• Clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience with roll-off, vacuum truck, or similar heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and stay on schedule.
• Willingness to get hands dirty and take pride in essential work.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability, and doing the job right the first time.
• Comfortable using a tablet or smartphone for route information and updates.
• Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and be on your feet throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Roll-Off truck to and from job sites, transfer stations, and landfills.
• Perform backing maneuvers in tight and overhead-constrained areas.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and the shop throughout the day.
• Prep for jobs by checking equipment, tools, and materials.
• Respond to service calls and emergency requests as needed.
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety protocols.
• Handle your equipment with care and keep your truck in top condition.
• Rotate into on-call weekend/overtime work when scheduled.
• Work outdoors in all weather — rain or shine, our customers count on us.
