POSITION SUMMARY: A Driver - CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The driver must ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards, adhere to all regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Perform thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle, including tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, reporting safety issues as needed.
2. Safely operate the truck along designated routes, following route sheets and maps to service each customer as assigned.
3. Operate controls to lift, load, and dispose of waste, ensuring safety policies are followed.
4. Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to ensure timely service.
5. Identify unsatisfactory waste containers, tag them according to procedures, and monitor waste quality.
6. Clean around waste spills and maintain vehicle readiness by monitoring and cleaning the truck and its components.
7. Complete route and productivity reports, adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
8. Participate in safety programs and perform additional duties as assigned.
9. Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness.
10. Manage time effectively to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently.
11. Follow company policies, safety standards, and promote a safe working environment.
12. Maintain pride in work and strive to meet all goals.

Minimum Requirements
