Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Roll Off Driver to operate roll-off trucks and related equipment, delivering waste removal services across local commercial and industrial routes.

You will perform daily safety inspections, complete route paperwork, and maintain a clean, safe vehicle while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires a valid CDL with at least 1 year of driving experience (or a CDL school certificate), a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work outdoors

If you enjoy independent work, staying active, and taking pride in keeping your community clean, this seat is reserved for you.## What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)* Hit the Road Safely: Operate roll-off trucks and ancillary equipment to collect and transport waste to post-collection facilities efficiently.* Inspect & Protect: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections, route sheet updates, and truck reports to ensure your vehicle remains in top condition.* Safety First: Follow all company, federal, state/provincial, and local safety rules. Report any hazards, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately to your supervisor or lead.* Customer Champion: Represent the GFL brand with a positive attitude, professional appearance, and exceptional customer service on every route.* Precision & Pride: Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, keep your truck cab clean, and collaborate with your team to optimize route efficiency.## ## **What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)*** Experience/License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required with a minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR a CDL school certificate.* Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.* Skills: Ability to maneuver heavy equipment safely, complete daily paperwork/inspections, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.* Physical Demands: Must be comfortable sitting for extended periods (up to 75% of the day), performing physical checks, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.* Adaptability: Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and high-traffic environments.## **What’s In It For You?
