Job summary

Engineered Materials Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Roll Grind Operator for the 2nd shift with a 10% shift premium. The role features a pay range of $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

You will set up and operate precision grinding machines to produce machine work rolls to close tolerances using predetermined methods and tooling. Reading blueprints and quality checks are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating grinding machines or related manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs grinding operations such as shaping and finishing rims, angles, radii, contours and tapers on rolls.
• Selects, mounts and aligns tooling and attachments for grinding operations.
• Interprets blueprints and engineering specifications to meet tolerances.
• Dresses and trues grinding wheels to maintain wheel condition and accuracy.

Education

High School or Equivalency Diploma preferred

Position Summary:

Set up and operate a variety of precision grinding machines to perform production grinding of machine work rolls to close tolerances where grinding methods and sequences are predetermined and established tooling provided.

Responsibilities for Roll Grind Operator:

• Performs operations such as grinding compound angles, internal and external spherical radii, contours and long exact tapers on products
• Selects, mounts and aligns various specialized attachments and standard tooling
• Interprets blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications.
• Dresses trues and shapes grinding wheels

Education and Experience:

• High School or Equivalency Diploma preferred
• Related machine experience required

Physical Demands:

• Lifting up to 40 lbs, Standing may be up to 75% of time
