Job summary

Sharecare is seeking a detail-oriented Release of Information support specialist to assist Release of Information Specialists, Quality Control, Customer Service, Billing & Collections in fulfilling patient medical records requests.

You will ensure HIPAA compliance, perform data entry and quality checks, and coordinate with multiple departments to resolve issues quickly, maintaining accuracy and privacy at all times.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience with Sharecare HDS in QC, Credit & Collections or Customer Service.
• Proficiency with internal electronic record workflow systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• High reliability and professionalism.
• Good written and spoken communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist Release of Information Specialists to resolve issues related to fulfillment of medical records requests.
• Ensure compliance requirements are met to release medical records based on HIPAA rules and regulations, including adherence to other state and federal laws for Release of Information.
• Perform Data Entry & Quality Control measures for fulfillment of medical records requests.
• Effectively communicate with Customer Service and other departments to answer questions and resolve issues with requests and fulfillment of medical records requests.
• Research and resolve workflow and record issues quickly to minimize delays in turnaround.
• Identify and escalation critical and important issues to management.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Assist Release of Information Specialists to resolve issues related to fulfillment of medical recordsrequests

• Ability to use internalelectronic based record workflow systems such as Record Management, Intranet,Exceptions Management, Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods oftime

• Manual dexterity and strength sufficient enough to enter information via computer keyboard for long periods of time, to write notes and information needed, and to pick up and hold paperwork, supplies and otheritems
• Eyesight sufficient to effectively read documents and to accurately view information on a computermonitor
• Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to effectively communicate
• Eye/hand coordination, hearing and visual acuity necessary forday to daytasks

HIPPA/ Compliance

• Maintain privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information and access such information only on aneed-to-knowbasis for businesspurposes
• Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and securityobligations
• Report unethical,fraudulent,or unlawful behavior or activity
• Maintain current and yearly HIPAAcertification
