Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail‑oriented ROI specialist to process medical records requests in a timely, compliant manner using Verisma software. You will read complex records and authorizations, ensuring HIPAA adherence while delivering excellent service to customers in person or remotely.

The role requires 2+ years in medical records or related clerical work, HS diploma, and RHIT preferred, with independence and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma; some college preferred.
• RHIT certification preferred.
• 2+ years medical record experience.
• 2+ years of clerical or office work.
• Experience with HIPAA and PHI release regulations preferred.
• Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Process medical ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Process requests utilizing Verisma software applications.
• Support resolution of HIPAA-related release issues.
• Organize records and documents to complete the ROI process.
• Read and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations.
• Provide exemplary customer service in person, on the phone and via email.
• Interact with customers and coworkers professionally.
• Attend training sessions, as required.
• Maintain compliance and confidentiality; promote company values.
• Perform other related duties to ensure department operations.
